MEET CLAY ROJAS
The warrior.
The counselor.
The human.
Clay understands the uniform, the weight of service, and the person behind both.
A San Francisco Bay Area native now based in Tulsa, Clay is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, former police officer, author, and biblical counselor. He holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University and previously practiced therapy in California with justice-involved youth.
Today, Clay serves as Regional Director for The Forge in Tulsa, where his work includes counseling, leadership development, and Rally Point veteran support. As a follower of Jesus, he brings faith and practical care into conversations about trauma, purpose, and relationships.
Event content is shaped with the host to fit the audience, including how faith is addressed. Speaking and training are educational; they do not establish a clinical treatment relationship.

BEFORE THE STAGE
The service behind
the story.
Clay was a police officer before joining the Marine Corps after 9/11. He completed three combat deployments, serving first with 2nd FAST Company, 7th Platoon, then with 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, “Charley” Company. After returning to law enforcement in 2005, he struggled to reintegrate into civilian life while battling post-traumatic stress.
His decision to use a police database for personal purposes eventually led to his arrest and incarceration. His story is a cautionary tale every public servant and law enforcement officer needs to hear, showing what can happen when PTSD and addiction are ignored, normalized, or left untreated. In prison, he met a pastor who challenged him to seek an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, and a therapist who helped him understand PTSD—a turning point that changed the course of his life. He began rebuilding and later became an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California. Today, he serves as The Forge’s Regional Director in Tulsa, a counselor, author, and professional speaker—bringing lived experience and hope to people carrying the weight of service.
